Founded in 1975, by and for Huntington-area sailing families of all levels of ability. Our club supports an active schedule of cruising, racing, social and community service events throughout the entire year. We maintain club mooring facilities in Lloyd Harbor, Oyster Bay Cove and Port Jefferson.

MCYC has a very diverse cruising schedule. Annual events vary from a quick trip across the sound to Riverside Yacht Club for lunch to the Summer Cruise which can last for two weeks. Overnights, weekends, and 1 week cruises keep the fleet on the move most of the summer.

MCYC also has several land based events. Our spring brunch welcomes new members to the club. The boatyard BBQ is a come-as-you-are event where members and non-members alike are welcome. The decommissioning party offers the chance to socialize and swap stories of how the summer went. At the annual meeting, members are asked to vote the new board in place and discuss business as it relates to the growth and policies of the club. Our Change of Watch party in December welcomes the new board members and offers the opportunity to dress up and party.

MCYC sponsers the Masthead Race every year. This race benefits the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. To date, over $68,000 has been raised for cancer research.
